One hour. Every day.
Remember what I said about the Eucharist? That it's truly God Himself dwelling under the appearance of bread and wine? That? Yeah. God Himself is waiting for you in a golden box (aka the tabernacle). Let me say that again: GOD HIMSELF IS WAItING FOR YOU TO COME TO HIM!! Hear that voice crack? I'm not messing around. Jesus Christ is waiting and longing for you to come and spend time with Him everyday. He wants you to tell Him everything. Listen to Him, read His word. Jesus Christ is alive!! The same God who walked the earth two thousand years ago, the same God who works miracles, wants to work a miracle in you. And He's literally present in every Catholic Church that has the Eucharist.
Is that holy hour going to be easy and enjoyable all the time? Heck no! There are going to be plenty of days when the whole hour you're distracted. Plenty of days when you're counting down the minutes until that hour hits. But be faithful to the whole hour. It may not look like much is changing from your point of view, but even when it's cloudy, if the Sun is there, you're going to get burned. God is working, even if you can't see it. Put your faith in Him. Venerable Fulton J. Sheen said that a lot of times it's those last five minutes in which the Lord pours out the most immense graces. St. Damien of Molokai said that without his daily holy hour in front of the tabernacle, he would never be able to minister and be Christ to the lepers. When Mother Teresa and her nuns started getting even busier taking care of the poorest of the poor in India, what do you think they did? They didn't shorten their holy hour, they added another one!
